Why HPDE?

There are many types of plastics! While we have tested many types, including bio-based material made from corn, we strongly believe HDPE to be the best raw material for our handle products: the physical properties along with our molding process and designs make it the strongest, least brittle, perfectly flexible material.

Is HDPE recyclable?

YES YES YES! HDPE, or #2 plastic is the most universally recyclable plastic available for consumer use. All of our handles are stamped with the #2 HDPE logo, as well as the words ’please recycle’. Learn more about our eco-conscious philosophy in the ’about us’ section.

What is injection molding?

Injection molding is a process of making plastic pieces of almost any shape, form or function. Hard pellets of High Density Polyethelyn (HDPE) are transformed into a liquid, squirted into a mold, allowed to harden and taken out of the mold via a robotic arm. The whole process is much more complicated and involves precision molding and processing, but this is it in a nut-shell. Several of our online videos show an injection molding machine in action. PakTech has expertise in the injection molding process and believes it to be the best way of making 3D parts which allow for comfort and strength.

What kind of handles do you make?

What is the difference between stock and custom handle?

A stock handle is one that is currently in production, meaning they are made in multiple cavities. A custom handle requires a new design and prototype mold, and we do this weekly. Our in-house design team and mold room make it a quick and inexpensive process.

What colors can I get?

We have a wide variety of colors to choose from. You can see most of them in our ’color’ link in the ’products’ section. Our customer service team is dedicated to helping your company chose a color that compliments your package.

How much do handles cost?

Our handles are priced competitively. The price depends of handle size and order size, and the higher the order volume, the lower the price. Our Sales team is happy to assess your needs and provide quotes based on your specific project.
